Invention Contributions

My product features GPS tracking via Google Maps and an emergency alert system for elderly safety. It’s simple to use, with a contact number and notifications for family members. Unlike smartphones, it operates passively, engaging bystanders. Future improvements include lighter silicone material, waterproofing, and a smaller design for added comfort.

MUN Roles

Model United Nations (MUN) sharpened my diplomacy and critical thinking skills. From debating Security Council reform at PhoenixMUN to co-chairing EntertainMUN on gender inequality, each role has enhanced my confidence. Notably, I earned Honorable Mention at CentMUN and tackled historical conflicts at YaleMUN, deepening my passion for international relations and problem-solving.

Fundraising

In January, we visited Vox Nativa in Nantou for a cultural exchange and realized how different their lives are. Many students lacked resources like electronic devices. To help, we donated $1,000 to upgrade their school’s equipment. Volunteering with the Vox Nativa Choir has deeply inspired me to make a difference.

I spoke on the urgent need for climate action, focusing on carbon emissions, extreme weather, and sustainable waste management. My Germany Cultural Box compared German and Taiwanese waste systems, highlighting cultural differences in sustainability approaches.

Terror in the Sky

Terror in the Sky

"Terror in the Sky" depicts a chaotic in-flight communication breakdown. An older lady urgently tries to convey a serious threat to a flight attendant, but the language barrier leads to a series of misinterpretations. Multiple passengers, speaking different languages, escalate the confusion, eventually translating her hijacking threat into a request for turkey.

These lessons shaped my role in Model United Nations, classroom discussions, and helping others. Volunteering at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts further fueled my passion for leadership and community engagement.

The Five Senses Vie for Credit

2022

The Five Senses Vie for Credit

"The Five Senses Vie for Credit" humorously depicts a debate among the brain, eyes, and nose, as they argue over who is the most important. The brain, confused and bemused, tries to mediate the playful quarrel, with each feature boasting about their significance and role in the body’s functioning.

Choir

Music gives soul to the universe and wings to the mind. Choir isn’t just about singing—it moves the soul. At the Spring Feast Concert, the harmonies ignited my love for unified voices. From performances to competitions, these moments have shaped my passion for music.
